2. [mensaje bilingüe] The public is invited to welcome our fallen Lawrencian back home to the City by lining the procession route. The procession will enter the City from 495 South onto Route 114 West (Winthrop Avenue) and will continue east on Winthrop Avenue to Parker Street, over the Central Bridge. After crossing the Central Bridge, the procession will continue on Lawrence Street and end at the Farrah Funeral Home. (Please arrive early as parking will be limited and there will be extensive road closures along the route) 

   We are in need of volunteers to hold flags along the procession route - specifically between Chickering Street and the "5 Corners" or intersection of Winthrop/South Union/Exeter Street. There are markers painted on the ground about 4ft apart. Each marker should have one volunteers standing on/in front of it. If you do not see a marker, please walk along the route to find one until all 776 are filled.

    Once in place, DPW will drive along the route to distribute the flags. Please remain in place until the flags are collected.

    ***Please note that you are NOT to bring additional flags of your own and that you will need to give back the flag once your volunteer commitment is completed.

    El público está invitado a dar la bienvenida a nuestra Lawrenciana caída de vuelta a casa, a su ciudad, alineando la ruta de la procesión.

    La procesión entrará en la ciudad desde la 495 Sur hasta la Ruta 114 Oeste (Winthrop Avenue) y continuará hacia el este por Winthrop Avenue hasta la Parker Street, pasando por el Puente Central. Después de cruzar el Puente Central, la procesión continuará por la Lawrence Street y terminará en la Funeraria Farrah. (Por favor, llegue temprano ya que el estacionamiento será limitado y habrá extensos cierres de calles a lo largo de la ruta)
