Overview

Pemberton State Park, part of the Lawrence Heritage State Park and located off of Parker Street, along the Merrimack River, is dedicated to the 145 people who were killed in the Pemberton Mill disaster of 1860. Pemberton State Park winds along the Merrimack River, and has a beautiful view of the Lawrence waterfall. The park contains a gazebo with a number of benches, and is a truly beautiful location for a picnic.
