On Wednesday October 11th, the Department’s Street Crimes Unit, a combined unit of the Gang Unit and Street Narcotics, conducted a prostitution sting. This is part of the Department’s ongoing effort to aggressively combat all quality of life issues in the city. The operation was conducted in the afternoon and evening hours. Fifteen individuals were arrested during the operation: 13 females charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, and two individuals were arrested on outstanding arrest warrants. There have been 57 arrests for prostitution this year
