Following a lengthy investigation by led by Detectives Shaun McLellan and Jesse Fabian of the Lawrence Police Gang Unit, five Individuals have been charged in connection with a shooting that took place on Friday evening September 7^th on Poplar Street.   An 18 year old Lawrence man suffered a non life-threatening gun shot wound to the leg,  he was treated on scene by EMTs and Paramedics from Lawrence General Hospital.  He was transported by ambulance to that facility, and subsequently transported to a Boston Hospital where he was treated and released the next day.   The Following individuals have been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and several firearms related charges:  

Angel Rodriguez age 19 of Lawrence

Ariel Toribio age 18 of Lawrence, 

Celestino Escalera age 24 of Haverhill 

Elijah Oliver age 19 of Haverhill.

Additionally, Tyler Fitzgerald age 25 of Andover has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact

       Escalera also suffered a non–life threatening gun shot wound in the incident and brought by car to the Lawrence General Hospital Emergency Room. . As a result of this lengthy and thorough investigation 5 dangerous individuals have been taken off the street, and two illegal firearms were recovered and  taken off the street.
