The Lawrence Police Department has been notified by the Bureau of Justice Assistance of the City of Lawrence’s eligibility to apply for the FY2019 Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $57,737. The Lawrence Police Department proposes to utilize the grant funds to purchase mounted computers for our cruisers with the associated hardware, and a patrol vehicle as part of an overall program to upgrade and replace our patrol vehicles within the Police Department. This purchase will enhance the Department’s officer safety while contributing to accuracy, transparency and accountability.
