Officer of the Month Recognized
Mayor Commends Exemplary Policing
February 10, 2020, Lawrence, MA- Mayor Daniel Rivera, with Lawrence Police Chief Roy Vasque, recognized the Officer of the Month for December 2019, Detective Aaron Blanco. “I am proud of the work that Detective Blanco does to keep both our community, and, as a fellow Veteran, our country safe,” said Mayor Daniel Rivera. “Detective Blanco’s service sets an example of the hard work our officers do on a daily basis to keep our community safe, and I am thankful to have his professionalism and expertise on our force.”
Detective Aaron Blanco has been chosen as the December Officer of the Month in recognition of and gratitude for his yearlong deployment with the US Marine Corp Task Force Southwest in Afghanistan for the past year. Detective Blanco has been a member of the Lawrence Police Department since 2014. He is currently assigned to the Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Detective Blanco has the rank of Sargent with the Marine Corp. He has been a member of US Marine Corp Reserves for the past 10 years.
