The city has implemented CodeRED, an emergency and critical communications technology that will streamline urgent and emergency notifications to residents. “CodeRED will allow our public safety departments to communicate in real time during emergency situations,” said Mayor Daniel Rivera. “This technology allows us to send a text message or call residents directly to keep them informed during emergency operations. This technology is not spam and does not result in unwanted robo calls, it is a way for city officials to communicate fast and effectively to deliver important messages.
