Early Monday morning, Lawrence Police responded to a
report of Loud Noise coming from 155 Boxford Street. Upon arriving, Officers could hear the noise
several houses away. The Lawrence
Police has been called to this location several times for reports of loud
parties. The owner of the home has received noise citations and notices
regarding these incidents in the past.
Upon locating the source of the extremely loud music, Sgt. Arial
Montas, and Officers Jessica Botero, Eli Soto, Carlos Aguirre, and Francis Nova
observed multiple people drinking alcohol and using Hookahs. Officers observed
two females dressed alike, whom the owner of the home referred to as
“bartenders”. Officers also observed a ventilation duct which was being used to
elevate the smoke in the basement.
The home's owner, Joel Maria Santos, 20, was arrested and charged as
the keeper of a noisy and disorderly house.
He was arraigned at Lawrence District Court.
