Yesterday at approximately 11:30 am Lawrence Police responded to a disturbance near the intersection of Hampshire and Alder Streets, with the possibility of shots fired. As result of the initial investigation by Officer Robert Lakin of the Patrol Division a search warrant was obtained for an Alder Street residence. Upon executing the search warrant two firearms along with ammunition and narcotics as well as equipment consistent with a drug dealing operation were seized. Based on the information obtained during the search warrant, an arrest warrant was issued for Edward Rosado-Cardona age 28 of Lawrence .

This afternoon Lawrence Police Detective Shaun McLellan, Massachusetts State Police Trooper D.J. Dolan of the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Agent Matt Lawlor of the US Marshall Service located and arrested Rosado-Cardona. He will be arraigned tomorrow in Lawrence District Court on several firearms, and drug related charges, as well as several outstanding warrants.
