Officer Salman Dar of the Lawrence Police Patrol Division was dispatched to Bourque Street for a report of a suspicious motor vehicle.  Upon arrival he located a vehicle with a broken window, which appeared to have been broken into.  Through a check of the vehicle’s registration it was determine that it was a rented motor vehicle.  Before towing the vehicle for safe keeping, Officer Dar conducted an inventory search, during which he discovered 19 grams of Class A, heroin.

Through his investigation Officer Dar located the male who rented the vehicle. The male was placed into custody, and charged with trafficking Class A .  A subsequent check of the male’s criminal history revealed that the male has a long history of dealing narcotic.

Update!   As part of his continued investigation Officer Dar obtained a search warrant for the vehicle. Upon executing the search warrant more narcotics were seized,  as well as a loaded firearm. The defendant was charged accordingly
