On Saturday December 2nd Liquor Compliance Checks were randomly conducted by a investigators from the Lawrence Police Department, Lawrence Fire Department , and the Massachusetts Alcohol Beverage Control Commission. Several Liquor Establishments throughout the City were inspected. The following locations were inspected, and no violations were found: Tavern on Merrimack, Gateway Pub, Reliefs In, and J Brian’s.

During the inspection of Mir Lounge the following violations found: over serving, happy hour violations, and the illegal use of charcoal hookahs, as well as hindering Fire Investigators in the performance of their duty. During the inspection of Attica the following violations were found: underage minor on premise, happy hour violations.

The Massachusetts Alcohol Beverage Control Commission will enforce all the violations with the exception of underage minor on premise which will be will be enforced by LPD Lt. Jay Cerullo, and the illegal use of charcoal hookahs, as well as hindering Fire investigators in their performance of their duty will be enforced by the Lawrence Fire Department
